This was a cover design for a class packet to be bound in book form for Heartland Academy Christian Church. The theme this year was a focus on "the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:15-16). After a little browsing I ran across the original picture below of a smiplified outline of Christ filled with people. Using this direction I wanted to make the image seem "painted" on a stoney texture like many early Christian drawings found in crypts, homes and various other ancient places of worship.
